During depressing 2021 I would improvise on the piano before bed. This carefree floating type piano idea came from that. I really liked the way it made me feel so I wrote it down in my staff notebook/journal. And then forgot about it. A little over a year later I was in a 10 week composing program sponsored by ESPN through Women's Audio Mission that gave us a brief for uplifting/triumphant music. I went back to my notebook to this idea and used it as the core of what is now a self-produced track with a hip hop beat, orchestral percussion, trumpets, strings, synths and of course the piano. Let me know - Does it slap? more
